Nørreport Centret is a shopping centre in the middle of Holstebro. The centre was built in 1978, and in 2008, an extension was completed, making room for even more shops and parking spaces. In total, there is 500 free parking spaces. The centre is placed in continuation of the pedestrian street in Holstebro, at the top of Nørregade. Nyholm Center is a newer centre area situated on the outskirts of town. The area is mainly known to the locals for the large supermarket Bilka which opened in the beginning of the 90s. Since then, other large stores have joined it in the area which today contains 15-20 shops. Besides the large supermarket, there is a toy shop, places to eat, furniture shops and much more. The area is easy to reach, right by Holstebro's outer ring road.
