The pedestrian street in Holstebro was opened in 1962 and is thereby the second oldest in Denmark, only beaten by Strøget in Copenhagen. In the pedestrian street, you'll find a large selection of retail shops with something for any taste. So, if you're on the lookout for something special, you'll find it in Holstebro. See our selection of speciality shops, shoes & leather products, fashion wear for both men, women and children, plus anything for the home. You should also visit Bazaren where you'll get a shopping experience that you won't get anywhere else in Holstebro. Get up close with different cultures, feel the atmosphere, and experience the large and exciting selection of products in the small shops.
Along all of the pedestrian steet, you'll find cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy the surroundings and experience great taste sensations. At night, this is also where the night life of Holstebro is pulsating.
In 2001, the municipality started restoring the flagstone pavement, with Bjørn Nørgaard as the artist behind the project. Besides the flagstones, Bjørn Nørgaard also created three art circles: The Eye Of Odin, The Fountain Of Life, and The Hand Of Jesus. In addition, there are several other art pieces placed around the pedestrian street, amongst others, Giacometti's "Woman On Cart".
With a Holstebro gift card, you can be sure to give just the gift that the recipient wanted. The gift card is used in the same way as a cash card, and can be used several times and in all shops that are members of the Holstebro Trade Association.
You can buy the gift card in the customer service departments of Kvickly, BILKA and Hotel Schaumburg. You can check your account here.
